About Ajantha
Since 1954, the light only got better
In 1954, a small black and white photo studio called Ajantha Arts opened its shutters in Parappanangadi, Malabar. Photography was a new art in a small town, and the town welcomed it with open arms.
Over seven decades, Ajantha grew with every change in the craft, from black and white to colour and from film to digital. From Malabar's first manual colorlab in 1980 to its early digital studios in 1998, Ajantha has always been among the first to bring new technology to the people it serves. It became a household name, trusted by three generations of families, and today it brings the same care to homes across India.
